Faïna Plahta Skirt. The item is embellished with symmetrical embroidery, which we name vytynanka after the art form of paper openwork. The embroidered composition is inspired by the 1695 intaglio ‘The Joy of the Dnipro Waters’ by Leontii Tarasevych. The geometry of the ornament adopts the decorative visual rhythm of the Khan Palace, Bakhchysaray.
