Embroidered Apron in Brown. Historically, aprons were decorated with embroidery and worn over skirts for everyday use and festive occasions. The ornament in the GUNIA’s apron draws from elements of 20th-century Kosiv tiles and a 19th-century monastic embroidered rushnyk from the Kyiv region. The Tree of Life motif, symbolizing fertility, the universe, and family protection, is depicted in the embroidered “vase.”
